June 2009 Has the market reached the bottom? Is this the start of the recovery in the housing market? Difficult to call but the facts are the last six weeks has seen a substantial uplift in general sales enquiries which has led to sales being agreed at at rate not seen since the autumn of 2007. Prices do need to reflect current market levels but with the lack of stock buyers are losing out if they delay in making offers. The lettings market remains reasonably bouyant - the activity levels have dropped off in the last month or so and to some extent has swung in the favour of tenants.
